Our Inclusive Spaces

At Diverse Bloom Society, we believe everyone deserves a safe, accessible place to connect, learn, and grow. Our events and safe spaces are designed with you in mind, offering flexible and inclusive environments that genuinely meet people where they are.

We create a range of safe, accessible spaces designed to meet people where they are emotionally, practically, and logistically. Our events and spaces are flexible, inclusive, and shaped by what people actually need, not what looks good on paper.

Online spaces

We run online sessions to make support accessible regardless of location, energy levels, or health needs. These include:

  • Online peer support meet-ups, offering connection, shared understanding, and low-pressure conversation
  • Facilitated discussion spaces, where people can explore shared challenges, rights, and experiences safely
  • Practical online workshops, focused on topics such as reasonable adjustments, self-advocacy, wellbeing, and navigating systems
  • Online spaces are optional-camera, optional-participation, and designed to be safe for people who may find in-person spaces difficult or inaccessible

In Person Events

Where possible, we also create in-person safe spaces that prioritise accessibility, comfort, and choice. These may include:

  • Small group meet-ups in accessible, calm environments
  • Community-led sessions, shaped by local needs and lived experience
  • Workshops and learning events, combining practical information with supportive discussion

In-person spaces are intentionally smaller and slower-paced, with clear expectations, breaks, and flexibility built in.

What makes our spaces different

Our events are:

  • Trauma-informed and non-judgemental
  • Grounded in choice, consent, and autonomy
  • Designed for people with fluctuating energy, health, and capacity
  • Focused on support and empowerment — not performance or pressure
  • People can attend to listen, share, learn, or simply be present.

In short: Our spaces are not about fixing people or pushing them to participate. They are about connection, safety, learning, and belonging — in whatever way works for each person.

Online Support Groups, Speakers and Forums

Our online sessions provide a safe, supportive space to share experiences and feel heard. In our sessions, we explore practical solutions and discuss ways to challenge and adapt systems so they become more inclusive, fair, and equal. We also offer guidance, advocacy, and optional 1:1 support, all rooted in lived experience and a commitment to changing systems not people.

Bloom Accreditation

Our accreditation supports organisations to move beyond good intentions and create real, meaningful inclusion. Through review, guidance, and practical action, we help organisations identify barriers within their systems, policies, and culture, and support them to make changes that promote fairness, accessibility, and equality for disabled people and carers.
